Dr. Margaret Elliott received her BS degree at ISU in Microbiology in 1997. After completing her PhD in immunology in 2002 and postdoctoral program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, she moved to Ames in 2005 to work in dairy cattle research at the National Animal Disease Center.

Having always wanting to be a veterinarian, Dr. Elliott chose to leave research to pursue a veterinary degree. She completed her DVM in 2014 at Iowa State University in Ames, IA.

Dr. Elliott joined Klein Animal Clinic in September 2020. Dr. Elliott is a member of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Elliott’s interest include canine performance (obedience/agility) and dog training, training for behavioral issues and teaching training to pet owners.
