Meet Our Team
Dr. Klein grew up on Long Island New York. He attended Iowa State University where he received a BS degree in Wildlife Biology, and then proceeded to earn his DVM degree from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.
Dr. Klein enjoys working with dogs and cats. His area of interest icludes soft tissue and orthopedic laser surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Klein and his wife LuAnn reside in Bettendorf, with their golden retriever Kaydee. They have two married daughters, Karly and Kelsey, who both live in the Kansas City area. In his spare time, Dr. Klein enjoys boating, golf, water skiing and snow skiing.
Dr. Sue Hartmann grew up on a farm in eastern Iowa and graduated from The Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in1999. After graduating she practiced veterinary medicine around eastern Iowa, then in North Carolina for a short time. She joined Klein Animal Clinic when she returned to Iowa in 2005. She has a special interest in small animal internal medicine. Dr. Hartmann and her husband Dave own 2 businesses in DeWitt, Hammond Mini-Storage and Hammond Motorsports. They live with their 2 cats Beatrice and Bernice. In her free time, Dr. Hartmann enjoys travelling and volunteering by serving on the board of directors for CommunityCare, Inc., and the David Hartmann Foundation.
Dr. Steve Case grew up in the Dubuque area, where he was constantly surrounded by dogs and cats and would occasionally nurse injured wildlife back to health. He went on to earn a degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 2001, and proceeded to obtain his veterinary degree from ISU in 2005. He has previously worked in Illinois and more recently in Wisconsin. He is most interested in dermatology cases, surgery and dentistry. On his off time, he enjoys watching movies, reading, playing with his six year old son and taking his dogs for a walk.
